2,000 liters of petro-products were stored in Subisu office: Firefighters



KATHMANDU: The fire that engulfed Internet Service Provider Subisu Cable Net Pvt. Ltd, in Baluwatar has been contained.

Security personnel of Nepal Police, Nepal Army, and the Armed Police Force doused the fire.

Investigation is underway to determine how the fire broke out property details destroyed in the fire. According to firefighters who reached the incident site, the fire quickly spread due to the 2,000 liters of petroleum products stored on the premises of the office.

“It took a long time to contain fire despite heavy use of fire control fluid,” a firefighter told Khabarhub, adding, “The fire started raging after it came into contact with the combustible petroleum products.”

The fire had started at around 12:30 pm according to the police.

A preliminary investigation of the police has pointed out short-circuit as the cause behind fire, said DSP Hobindra Bogati, spokesperson of Metropolitan Police Range Office, Kathmandu.

However, no casualties were reported in the incident.

According to a staffer of Subisu Company some petrol and diesel had been stored for the use of generator and vehicles.
