Siddhababa remanded to 7 more days in custody



SUNSARI: Sunsari District Court on Friday remanded Krishna Bahadur Giri alias Siddhababa accused of raping his follower to seven more days in judicial custody.

Police presented him before the court today after a four-day remand given by the court expired yesterday. Giri was taken to the court from Birat Medical College on an ambulance Ko 1 Cha 4073.

A team led by DSP Binod Sharma at District Police Office, Sunsari arrested Giri on Monday morning from the Biratnagar-based hospital. District court had issued a warrant arrest to him.

He has been taken to the hospital for further treatment following the court order.

Giri has been accused of raping his follower at his ashram in Chatara of Sunsari district on October 21.
