Nepal wins medals in table tennis singles first time in history

KATHMANDU:  Nepal has bagged medals for the first time in men’s singles table tennis in the history of South Asian Games (SAG).

Held at TT hall in Lainchaur on Friday morning, Nepal won silver under men’s singles and bronze medals under women’s singles in the TT championships today.

Shrestha was defeated by Indian player Amal Raj Anthony in 4-0 set (11-4, 12-10, 11-8, 11-2) while Bajracharya faced a defeat at the hands of Indian player Harmit Deshai in set 4-0 (11-5, 11-4, 11-1 and 11-4).
