Veep Pun visits Baluwatar to take stock of PM’s health

KATHMANDU: Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has visited Baluwatar to take stock of the health condition of Prime Minister KP Oli on Friday morning.

Vice President Pun reached Baluwatar at 9 am and wished the Prime Minister a speedy recovery during the visit.

Press Adviser to the Prime Minister Surya Thapa said Prime Minister Oli’s health condition is normal and allowing meetings with the visitors at Baluwatar.

“Prime Minister’s health condition is normal and is meeting with those who come to visit him at Baluwatar. Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun visited him this morning,” said Thapa.

Prime Minister K P Oli is under constant observation at the prime minister’s official residence in Baluwatar after he was discharged from the Maharajgunj-based Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre on Thursday afternoon.

PM Oli, who had gone to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) on November 26 for a checkup, underwent appendectomy the same day after he needed an immediate operation.

He received treatment at the Intensive Care Unit at the center during his stay at the hospital. PM Oli also underwent dialysis for his kidney as the kidney that was transplanted some 12 years ago has stopped functioning properly.

Doctors attending to the prime minister said that he will undergo regular dialyses.
