KATHMANDU: The cold wave has gripped the capital with the mercury dipping to 4.6 degree Celsius on Friday morning. This is almost one degree lower than that of yesterday’s. It is probably the lowest temperature of the year.

The temperature has gone down across the nation, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

The temperature was recorded at 5.5 degree Celsius in the Kathmandu Valley on Thursday morning.

According to the MFD, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the western and generally cloudy in the rest parts of the country today, said Meteorologist Manju Basi.
