SUNSARI: A group of Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ detonated bombs in two academic institutions of Sunsari. Binod Sharma, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at Sunsari district confirmed that the Biplav outfit detonated a bomb each at Sushma Godavari College at Itahari and Delhi Public School at Dharan Sub-metropolis on Thursday evening.
Police informed that the bomb explosion caused damages to the gate of Sushma Godavari College and outer part of Delhi Public School. Sunsari Police Chief Sharma suspected the bomb blast was carried out to unleash fear among the locals and intensify extortion drive.
He also said that police had nabbed Biplav Group’s Sunsari district in-charge while collecting donation from people some days ago. Investigation into the incident and search for the bomb detonator is being intensified now, Sharma added.
