Pillion rider killed as taxi hits scooter at Babarmahal

KATHMANDU: A pillion rider was killed after a scooter he was riding was hit by a taxi at Babarmahal on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased is Deepak Thapa, 19, of Sunkoshi-8 of Okhaldhunga district.

The mishap happened when the scooter, Ba 83 Pa 4035, was hit by the taxi, Ba 2 Cha 1188.

The scooter rider injured in the mishap Rohit Singh Thakuri of Panauti-10 is undergoing treatment at Annapurna Neuro Hospital, Maitighar.

The taxi driver is on the run.
