603 receive citizenship in Doti

DOTI: A total of 603 people have received the citizenship certificates at the Adarsha rural municipality in the district.

Tek Bahadur Rokaya, chairman of the rural municipality said that 624 people obtained the voter’s identity cards from the camp while 68 were rendered the health services, 934 the agriculture-related services and 448 visited the camp for the livestock services.

On the same occasion, 244 students of the Sharada Secondary School, Mauwa were awarded the scholarship. According to Chief District Officer Yadav Subedi, the camp was held for the convenience of those unable to visit the district headquarters to seek services due to several reasons.

Free transportation service was available for the people of Girichauki of Adarsha rural municipality-6 which is relatively far way than other areas from the location where the camp was organised.

The three-day camp was organised by the District Administration Office, Doti in coordination of the rural municipality.
