NCP urges govt to release new political map



KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has urged the government to release a new political map of the country incorporating Kalapani, Limpiyadhura and Lipulek.

The party has stated that it was serious regarding the Indian move of releasing its political map incorporating Nepali territories.

NCP secretariat member and former Deputy Prime Minister Bamdev Gautam said that the secretariat meeting held on Wednesday has urged the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation to release the new political map. He expected that the concerned Ministry will prepare and release the new map soon.

Leader Gautam also shared that the preparations were underway to send former Prime Minister and chief of NCP Foreign Affairs Department, Madhav Kumar Nepal to hold talks with Indian Prime Minister Nartendra Modi to resolve the border issues surfaced after India unilaterally released its new political map including Nepali territory.
