Five-member task force formed to investigate overcharging by medical colleges

KATHMANDU: The Medical Education Commission has formed a five-member task force to investigate the issue of private medical colleges overcharging students.

The taskforce has been entrusted to investigate the fees charged with the student for the fiscal years 2016-17 and 2017-18.

A recent meeting held between Minister for Education Girirajmani Pokharel and proprietors of private medical college had entrusted the commission to take a necessary decision for the fees charged for the fiscal years through study, discussion and investigation.

The commission said the task force was formed to work in that regard.
