Cold grips valley as mercury dips to 5.5



KATHMANDU: The cold wave has gripped the capital with the mercury dipping to 5.5 degree Celsius on Thursday morning.

The temperature has gone done across the nation, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

The temperature was recorded at 5.8 degree Celsius in the Kathmandu Valley on Wednesday morning.

According to the MFD, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the western, central and eastern regions today.

The weather will be partly to generally cloudy due to low pressure in the weather system in the western region, said Meteorologist Manju Basi.
