KATHMANDU: President of the main opposition Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba has lashed out at the government saying that federal democratic republic is on the brink of collapse due to its activities.

Speaking at a program titled “The Role of People’s Representatives to Ensure Dalits’ Rights” in the capital today, NC President Deuba underlined the need to internalize the Dalit issues by joining hands with the lawmakers from the countries with similar issues.

He went on to say that the current activities of the government are against the spirit of the constitution which is responsible for the people’s growing frustration against the federalism.

Meanwhile, Deuba warned the Oli-led government to immediately realize the social transformation campaign with socio-economic justice within this federal setup.

Deuba said Medial Council Bill, Guthi Bill, National Security Bill among others are against the spirit of the Nepali citizens and will not be acceptable to the NC.
