House meeting taking place today amid NC, RJP’s protest



KATHMANDU: A meeting of House of Representatives is taking place today. The meeting has been called for 11 am. The meeting is taking place amid disruption by lawmakers of Nepali Congress (NC) and Rastriya Janata Party (RJP).

Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara had rendered efforts to clear the stand-off erupted in the House meeting.

NC and RJP lawmakers have been disrupting the House meeting to heap pressure on the government, demanding an impartial investigation into the Sarlahi killing that claimed lives of two people.

The House meeting had been postponed following disruption by NC and RJP on July 29 and 31. The meeting scheduled for last Thursday had been adjourned for today.
