KATHMANDU: Nepal defeated Singapore by 217 runs to enter the semifinals of the ACC U-19 Eastern Region Cricket as a group winner on Friday.
Chasing the 327-run target, Singapore managed to get only 109 runs on the board losing all wickets in 39.1 overs. For Singapore, Hari Kukreja and Chandramauli Sridev made 63 and 56 runs respectively.
Nepal’s Kushal Malla took four wickets while Tilak Raj Bhandari sent two Singaporean batsmen back to the pavilion.
Elected to bat first after winning the toss, Nepal made 326 runs on the board losing four wickets in stipulated 50 overs.
Rit Gautam scored 115 runs off 137 balls smashing 10 fours and a six. Khadak Bahadur Bohara and Kushal Malla contributed 90 and 51 runs respectively for Nepal.
For Singapore, Pranav Sudarshan Rajesh Krishnan and Vinit Chittesh Mehta took two wickets each.
