KATHMANDU: Action has been taken against 67 industries for producing substandard goods as of June 15.

Nepal Bureau of Standard and Metrology took action against Narayani Micropipe Industry, Bara; Ghorahi Cement Pvt Ltd, Dang; Narayani Cement Industry, Bara; Nawa Nepal Plastic, Premier Wire Pvt Ltd, Biratnagar, Hongshi Shivam Cement Pvt Ltd; Asian Thai Food Pvt Ltd; Bishwakarma Cement Pvt Ltd, Parsa; Laxmi Steel Pvt Ltd, Nawalparasi; Mega Cement, Jhapa; Kathmandu Steel Pvt Ltd, Nawalparasi, among others.

According to Director General Bishwa Babu Pudasaini of the Bureau, the license of those industries has been suspended.
