Nepali man charged over alleged Sydney rape

SYDNEY: A Nepali man has been charged of raping a woman in a Sydney apartment. He has been extradited from the United States to Australia to face charges, AAP reported.

He is accused of sexually and indecently assaulting a 21-year-old woman at a Carlton unit in June 2017. He had fled to the US after the incident and was arrested in New York on a federal warrant in January, the report added.

He was refused bail and is expected to face Parramatta Bail Court today.
