NAST sets up Chancellor National Innovation Award



KATHMANDU: Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) has set up four new awards including the ‘Chancellor National Innovation Prize’ that carries a purse of Rs 200,000 to honor the talents in science and technology.

Secretary at NAST Dr Mahesh Kumar Adhikari said that ‘Science Teacher Award (up to 10+2) Award worth Rs 25,000, Women Science and Technology Award amounting to Rs 25,000, and Best Student Award (each male and female up to 10+2) carrying a purse of Rs 25,000 have also been established.

These awards will be distributed on December 6 this year, he said.

The Award is established in accordance with the National Science and Technology and Innovation Policy-2076 BS introduced by the government to identify talents in the science and technology sectors.
