KATHMANDU: Nepal’s long distance athlete Deepak Adhikari bagged a bronze medal in the men’s 10,000-meter running competition held under the 13th South Asian Games (SAG).
Adhikari completed the race in 30 minutes 50.5 seconds. The competition was held at the Dashrath Stadium at Tripureshwar. India’s Suresh Kumar clinched the gold medal while Sri Lanka’s San Mugeshshwar a silver in the same competition.
Kumar completed the race in 29 minutes 33.61 seconds while Mugeshshwar clocked 30 minutes 49.20 seconds. Nepal’s Santoshi Shrestha secured gold medal in the women’s 10,000-meter race held on Tuesday. The 13th SAG kicked off on December 1.
