NCP secretariat meet directs to send by-polls reports



KATHMANDU: A secretariat meeting of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has directed the concerned committees to send reports on the by-elections held recently.

The secretariat meeting held this morning under the chairmanship of party chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal directed the ward-level to district committees to send the report on the by-elections.

The next secretariat meeting slated for December 9 will formally review the by-elections, said Narayan Kaji Shrestha, spokesperson of the party.

Today’s meeting also passed a proposal wishing for the speedy recovery to Prime Minister KP Oli who is recuperating at the Manmohan Cardiothoracic and Vascular Transplant Center at Maharajgunj in Kathmandu after undergoing surgery for appendicitis.

This is the first secretariat meeting held after the NCP picked Dahal as the executive chairman of the party.

Likewise, the next meeting will discuss the remaining works related to the organization as well as the meeting of the Standing Committee and the Central Committee.

Today’s meeting is the first time that Chairman Dahal presided over after the NCP Secretariat meeting on November 20 had decided that Hadal would concentrate on the party works and Prime Minister Oli in the government’s works.
