Women Cricket SAG 2019: Nepal loses to Bangladesh by 10 wickets

KATHMANDU: Nepal has lost to Bangladesh by 10 wickets in the women cricket match of the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) held in Pokhara Stadium on Wednesday.

Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Nepal was all out for 50 runs in 19.2 overs after it could not perform well in batting.

Nepal’s only four players secured double-digit runs while the four could not secure even a single run.

Nepal had lost five wickets in 43 runs.

Nepal’s Rubina Chhetri secured 13 runs, Sonu Khadka collected 12 runs while opener Kajal Shrestha could not make any runs.

In reply, chasing the paltry 51-run target, Bangladesh achieved it in 7.1 overs without losing any wickets.

Bangladeshi player Ayasha Rahman hit 26 runs while Murshida Khatun contributed 23 runs to clinch win for Bangladesh.
