Met office predicts heavy rainfall for next three days



KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MDF) has predicted heavy rainfall in the major parts of the country for the next three days.

According to the met office, the axis of monsoon trough is moving toward the Tarai region and is likely to bring rainfall across the country.

Meteorologist Min Kumar Aryal said that places in Tarai region– Siraha, Saptari, Janakpur, Chitwan and Bhairahawa and nearby places– received rainfall on Saturday morning.

On Sunday, The weather will remain partly to generally cloudy throughout the country with light to moderate rain occurring at some places during the day.

At night, there is a chance of light to moderate rains at some places in the country and chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places of the eastern and central hilly regions.

Meanwhile, the Flood Forecasting Division stated that water flow in most of the river is below the danger level.
