KATHMANDU: International Conference on Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment is taking place on July 6 in Kathmandu.

Cancer disease experts from Nepal and other countries are attending the conference organized by Nepalese Society of Medical Oncologists.

The conference will dwell on people’s illusion of cancer, its diagnosis, and treatment in Nepal.

Cancer experts will share their ideas, experiences and latest treatment technology and immunotherapy during the conference.

Over 200 medical persons including 10 cancer experts from India, Bangladesh, and Nepal will participate in the conference, said Dr Guru Sharan Shah, coordinator of the program.

“Cancer can be treated in various ways such as administering medicine, radiotherapy, operation,” said Dr Shah, adding “We have organized this program to give information to the cancer patients on new methods of treatments and how to access to treatment.”

An interaction program will be held at the Pavilion Media Hall, Durbar Marg on Friday at 2 pm. Sagarmatha Television and khabarhub.com will cover the program. Likewise, the conference will be held at the Marriott Hotel on July 6 in Kathmandu.
