Youth hacked to death in Kathmandu, three arrested



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three persons on the charge of hacking a youth to death with a knife at Sitapaila in the Capital.

The arrested are Himanshu Chhetri, 19, of Birendranagar-1, Sagar Tamang, 20, of Gajuri-2 in Dhading and currently living in Sitapaila and Subas Shrestha alias Bullet of Melung-5 in Dolakha and currently residing in Sitapaila.

They had attacked one Aakash Basnet, 25, of Nagarjun-5 with a knife over a spat on Monday night. Basnet breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Sitapaila-based Manmohan Hospital.

The accused on the run were held from Nagarjun-4, Comfort Colony, police said.
