684 murdered by their kin in 4 yrs

KATHMANDU: A total of 684 people lost their lives at the hand of their own kin in the past four years.

A statistics prepared by Nepal Police states that as many as 684 individuals were killed by their own kin and family members between 2072/73 to 2075/76 fiscal year.

According to the statistics, husbands killed 275 wives in the last four years. Meanwhile, 58 husbands died at the had their wives. Similarly,  parents killed their 15 children while sons killed 53 parents during the period.

Likewise, the report said that sons killed 11 parents in cahoots with their wives.
