KATHMANDU: Chief Minister of State-3 Dormani Poudel underwent successful heart surgery at Gangalal National Heart Centre in the capital on Monday.
Dr. Chandra Mani Adhikari-led medical team performed the surgery.
According to personal secretary of the CM, Anup Poudel, the Chief Minister had reached the hospital for a regular checkup but complications were found in his heart, requiring the surgery.
The chief minister has been advised a weeklong rest.
