KATHMANDU: Parliament on Monday begun deliberations on the recently-unveiled budget for the fiscal year 2019-20.

Taking parts in deliberation, ruling and opposition lawmakers trade words over the budget.

The ruling party side claimed that the budget allocated for health, education and agriculture shows that the country was heading towards socialism.

On the other hand, opposition party MPs claimed that the budget was distributive and with the increased budget deficit and does not attract a self-employment program.
