Windstorm blows away 20 tents at Everest Camp II

KATHMANDU: Windstorm blew off some 20 tents set up for the mountaineers at Camp II of Mount Everest on Friday.

Secretary of Expedition Association Ishwari Poudel informed that that windstorm blew away the tents at the camp. He said that black clouds are hovering over 7,000 meters and wind gusting at 80-90 kph.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has warned that mountain flights, highland trekkers and mountain climbers in Nepal are likely to be affected due to cyclone Fani today and tomorrow.
