KATHMANDU: The fiscal progress of developmental projects under the Ministry of Defense (MoD) has been weak in comparison to its infrastructural development progress.

The four months’ progress review meeting of the MoD under the chairmanship of Minister for Defense Ishwor Pokharel in Singhadurbar held discussions.

Departmental chiefs of various departments said that the first four months’ report demonstrated that the fiscal progress has remained weaker due to various technical reasons.

They said the upcoming fourth month’s report would be improved in the days to come.

Out of 20 targeted projects, 17 had received a 100 percent success report.

Discussions on Benighat-Arughat-Larkebhanjyang Corridor, Tarai-Kathmandu Express Way, Kaligandaki Corridor, and Defense University establishment process were also discussed.

Meanwhile, Minister Pokharel instructed all concerned department chiefs to deliver good results after coordinating with different Ministries regarding the projects.
