CHITWAN: The office of ward number 3 of Kalika Municipality in Chitwan district has been set on fire. An unidentified group carried out arson attack at the ward office at around 3 am today, informed the District Police Office, Chitwan.
The fire gutted important assets of the ward office, including documents, table, chair, computer and printer. Tikaram Rijal, ward-3 chair, said that the office was set on fire after breaking the office window and sprinkling petrol.
The fire was taken under control with the help of police and locals at 3.30 am. Police said they have launched a manhunt to nab the arson attacker.
