CHITWAN: The identity of a man who jumped into the Narayani River is still unknown.
The man of around 30 years of age allegedly jumped into the river on the day of Laxmi Puja. His identity is yet to be ascertained, the District Police Office, Chitwan said.
According to eyewitnesses, he jumped into the river at around 4:00 pm on October 27 with a child of around 10 years of age. But the status of the child is yet to be known.
Though later police was able to retrieve his lifeless body, the boy who was said to be with him could not be found, DSP Yek Narayan Koirala said.
The body has been kept at the Bharatpur Hospital for post-mortem.
