Koirala demands independent probe over Mahara’s case

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Dr Shashank Koirala has asked the government to initiate a ‘fair and independent’ investigation against Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara, who has been alleged of sexually assaulting a female employee.

Speaking at a program in Kathmandu today, Koirala termed the allegations against Mahara ‘serious’ and needs to be thoroughly investigated.
