Qatar Airways plane grounded after hitting a bird

KATHMANDU: A plane of Qatar Airways has been grounded after it hit a bird at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu today.

The plane, which arrived Kathmandu from Doha hit a bird. After spotting blood and feather in the engine, the TIA decided to halt the plane for the time being, TIA officials said.

A plane will fly back only after a technical team arriving from Doha undergoes a thorough check-up and gives a nod, the official said.
