Gunman kills two, injures four at a North Carolina university



CHARLOTTE, N.C: A gunman opened fire at the University of North Carolina’s Charlotte campus on, killing two people and wounding four others, officials said.

The gunman is reported to be a student of the university, media reports said.

Details of the violence remained hazy hours later. However, campus Police Chief Jeff Baker said the emergency dispatch office received a call about an individual armed with a pistol.

Some police officers entered the building, disarmed the gunman and took him into custody, he informed.

The shooter has been identified as Trystan Andrew Terrell, 22.

What might have precipitated the shooting is not yet known. (Agencies)
