Province 2 govt provides Rs 300,000 each to deceased’s families



KATHMANDU: The government of Province 2 has decided to provide Rs 300,000 each in relief to victims’ families killed in the storm that broke in Bara and Parsa on Sunday evening.

A cabinet meeting of the Province 2 held this morning took a decision to this effect.

Meanwhile, the the government of Province 2 has expressed deep sorrow over the deaths and damages caused by the cyclone.

Chief Minister Lal Babau Pandit has reached the incident sites to take stock of the damages this morning.

Similarly, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed deep sorrow over the deaths induced by the windstorms in Province 2.

The death toll from the windstorm in Bara and Parsa has reached 32 while over 500 others sustained injuries in the disaster. The injured are undergoing treatment at various hospital including Kalaiya and Birgjubn hospitals.
