KATHMANDU: A secretariat meeting of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is taking place at Baluwatar on Saturday.
According to Baluwatar sources, the meeting will hold discussions on the by-elections to be held on November 30.
The NCP has set an standards according to which the candidates for the House of Representatives, Provinces and sub-metropolitan cities will be decided by the central committee while that of rural municipalities will be chosen by the provincial committee.
Similarly, in the case of ward chairs, the district committee will take a decision.
On Friday afternoon, NCP Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal had met Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at Baluwatar to hold talks to this effect.
