35 India returnees test coronavirus positive in Rautahat

RAUTAHAT: Rautahat marked an upsurge in the COVID-19 cases with 35 India returnees testing positive on Wednesday.

According to Sashi Mohan Das, the Information Officer at the District Administration Office Rautahat, the cases are from the people living in quarantine after they recently arrived from India.

According to him, the new cases are from Gaur Municipality 8, Isha Nath Municipality 16, Gadhimai Municipality 7, and 2 each from Debahi Gohani and Katahariya Municipality.

They will be kept at the Gaur-based isolation facility.

Similarly, there have been 6 new cases in Baglung and 1 in Hetauda.

According to the sources, the Baglung cases are also from India. The 25-year-old woman of Hetauda is in the Bharatpur-based Bharatpur Hospital, Chitwan.
