Rain forecast for Monday afternoon



KATHMANDU: Nepal presently faces a partial impact of a low pressure system based in the West Bengal of India and surroundings of Bangladesh. The impact is majorly in the eastern parts of the country. Similarly, the local wind has its impact, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said.

In its weather bulletin of the next three days today, the Division has predicted isolated/ brief rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at one or two places of the western hilly region towards afternoon/late afternoon.

Presently, there is partly cloudy in the hilly regions and mainly fair in the rest of the country.

Similarly, tonight there will be generally cloudy in the hilly regions and partly cloudy in the rest of the country. Brief rain/thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds and hail is likely to occur at some places of the eastern and central regions and at a few places of the western hilly region, the Division said in the bulletin.

Tomorrow, there will be cloudy in the eastern, central and hilly parts of western Nepal while thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds is likely at some parts of the central and eastern parts. On Wednesday, thundershower is possible at most parts of the central and eastern regions.

According to the Division latest updates, the minimum temperature of Kathmandu Valley was measured 18.2 degree Celsius followed by 31.8 degree Celsius maximum temperature. Similarly, Jumla recorded the lowest 9.8 degree Celsius and Dhangadhi witnessed the maximum 40.1 degree Celsius today.
