RAUTAHAT: Amid ongoing dispute about the Indian encroachment of Nepali land at Kalapani, Lipu Lekh and Limpiyadhura, India has initiated road building at no man’s land at Ishanath-1, Banjarawa Rautahat border.
India has started construction of dam under guise of road building at dasgaja area obstructing and diverting the flow of river which has put the bordering areas of Nepal at the risk of inundation.
Ruling Nepal Communist Party lawmaker Prabhu Shah has revealed that the construction in the border is going on for months.
India has been carrying out the dam and road construction trespassing no man’s land since August 2019.
Despite the local, provincial and federal government’s keeping mum on it, lawmaker Shah has demanded the government to act instantly and settle the issue through high level talks or diplomatic channel.
