800 Nepalis quarantined in India brought to Nepal

RUPANDEHI: About 800 Nepalis stranded across the border of the district have been brought.

People staying at quarantine centers near the border after arriving from different parts of India were brought to the district.

Chief District Officer of Rupendehi Mahadev Pant, said that they were brought across the border by a local representative and kept in quarantine after they tried to enter Nepal forcibly.

He said that they would be sent to their homes only after being kept in quarantine for a certain period of time.

There are about 1,600 Nepalis in the Indian quarantine near Belahiya border of Rupandehi. Of them, 1,200 said their quarantine period had expired and they should be allowed to go home.
