KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has called a meeting of all political parties at 4:30 today.

Top leaders of the political parties represented the parliament have been invited at the meeting to be held at the Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar, PM Oli’s political advisor Bishnu Rimal said.

To recall, PM Oli had convened an all-party meeting in November 2019 when India issued a new political map that included Limiyadhura, Kalapani, and Lipu Lekh.

It should be noted that the construction and inauguration of the road via Lipu Lekh has been criticized both Nepal’s ruling and opposition parties.

Likewise, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also expressed concern over the construction of the road.

Baluwatar sources said the meeting will also discuss the coronavirus pandemic with the party leaders.

Nepal has been on lockdown since March 24 in a bid to combat the spread of the coronavirus.

A total of 219 persons have tested positive in the country as of Wednesday.
