KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population said that most are men out of 191 persons infected with coronavirus in Nepal so far.
According to Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health Dr. Bikash Devkota, 158 men and 33 women have been infected.
Speaking at a regular press briefing on Tuesday, Spokesperson Dr. Devkota, the total number of infected people had reached 191 with the addition of eight new cases in Kapilvastu, nine in Rupandehi, 39 in Parsa and one in Bara.
They are being taken to different hospitals, he said.
According to Spokesperson Devkota, 18,964 tests have been conducted by the PCR method and 59,627 by RDT so far. Similarly, additional 2,236 samples have been tested in the last 24 hours.
He said that 228 people have been currently isolated, adding that one person is in isolation in the Kathmandu Valley and 227 outside the Valley.
According to him, 25 people are in isolation in Province-1. Of them, 19 are infected and six are suspected patients, 80 people are in isolation in Province 2, out of which 68 are infected and 12 are suspected and 25 people are in isolation in Bagmati, out of which 24 are suspected and one is infected.
Similarly, in Province 5, out of 98 people in isolation, 28 are suspected and 70 are infected.
Similarly, 12,785 people have been quarantined across the country.
