Alertness in Bhojpur after being categorized ‘red zone’

BHOJPUR: The district administration Bhojpur has maintained alertness against the spread of coronavirus after being categorized as red zone.

The District Administration Office stated security has been beefed up in the wake of increasing number of vehicles entering the district.

Additional security has bene put on high alert on all side border points –Salpasilochho and Shadananda rural municipalities in the north, Arun and Pauwadung rural municipalities in the east, Hatuwagadhi and Amchowk rural municipalities in the south and Tyamkemaiyung rural municipality in the west.

People entering Bhojpur and staying in quarantine are under close observation.

Chief District Officer Basanta Raj Puri said the local levels were instructed to monitor the quarantines and furnish information.

A youth, 26, from Hatuwagadhi rural municipality of Bhokpur was found infected with novel coronavirus on April 23.

The District Health Office has intensified the rapid diagnostic tests after this.

A total of 289 persons have undergone the RDT so far.
