Coronavirus kills 28, 884, infects 210, 717 in Italy



KATHMANDU: Italy, the second worst-hit country in terms of deaths, has 174 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the total to 28, 884 as of Monday morning.

The number of infection cases in the country has reached 210, 717 after 1,389 new cases were reported, the third highest in terms of infection cases, after Spain and America, according to Worldometer.

Currently, 100,179 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 1,501 are critical. Meanwhile, 81,654 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 248,094 and infecting 3,562,268 people as of Monday morning.
