Coronavirus kills 55 journalists globally in past two months



KATHMANDU: A total of 55 journalists have died across the world due to Coronavirus pandemic in the line of duty.

According to the Press Emblem Campaign (PEC), as many as 55 media persons have died in the course reporting globally due to the lack of personal protective equipment and other required medical items.

Coronavirus was found in 55 journalists who lost their lives to the deadly virus since March 1. They are from 23 different countries. They had died in the course of treatment.

Meanwhile, PEC has urged the concerned to arrange personal protective equipment for the journalists while deploying them in the field of reporting.
