Alcohol consumption kills five in Mahottari



MAHOTTARI: Five people have died after consuming locally prepared hooch in Bhangaha Municipality-7 in the district in the period of two days.

The deceased have been identified as Lal Babu Singh, 55, Nathuni Mahara, 42, Mohan Chaudhary, 45, Mahendra Chaudhary, 40 and Sikindra Singh of Bhangaha Municipality-7, confirmed District Police Office, Mahottari.

According to Superintendent of P olice (SP)  Shyam Krishna Adhikari, five died of alcohol consumption they had prepared at home.

The bodies of Lal Babu and Sikindra have been taken to Jaleshwor Hospital for postmortem while the bodies of the other three have been cremated.
