KATHMANDU: The parliamentary Industry, Commerce, Labor and Consumer Interest Protection Committee has submitted a four-point memorandum to Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokhrel.
Committee President Bimal Prasad Sribastav submitted the memorandum to the DPM calling for taking action against those indulging in black marketeering of relief materials.
He said that the relief materials distributed by the government are substandard.
The memorandum has also called for taking initiatives to bring home the Nepalis stranded at the border with India due to the lockdown by checking their health.
The Committee has also asked the government to make necessary arrangements for their safe travel to their home districts.
The memorandum has asked the government to make arrangements for storing food grains and foodstuffs for at least three months to avert food shortage during the lockdown period and to prepare long-term plan for the promotion of the agriculture sector.
Similarly, the Committee has also instructed the government for the proper management of Nepali citizens on abroad employment who have lost their jobs.
