Man put in isolation dies in Nepalgunj

NEPALGUNJ: A man put in isolation at Nepalgunj Medical College has died on Saturday.

According to Dr. Roman Kidwai at the hospital, Ishrael Behana of Gulariya, Bardiya who was a patient of asthma died while undergoing treatment.

He was kept in the Intensive Care Unit for the past two days.

Dr. Kidwai said they are preparing to take a swab sample of the deceased to check if he was infected with COVID-19.

COVID-19 suspects have been kept in isolation at Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj Medical College and Kohalpur Medical College in the district.

No COVID-19 positive cases have been found in the district so far.
