Police tracing passengers who traveled along with COVID-19 infected persons

KATHMANDU: Police have started tracing people who came in contact with two COVID-19 infected persons living at Sun City apartment in Pepsicola.

Two out of three members of the same family have been confirmed to be infected with coronavirus on Tuesday.

They were admitted to the Lalitpur-based Patan Hospital yesterday after their blood samples tested positive on rapid diagnostic kits.

According to sources at Nepal Police, they have arrived in Nepal from London through Qatar transit on March 18. They had boarded a Qatar Airways aircraft (flight no QR 644) to Kathmandu from Doha.

A total of 153 persons were on the aircraft.

The law enforcement agency is locating all the fellow passengers who traveled with the COVID-19 infected persons.
