Youth held for sexual assault



BANKE:  Police have arrested a youth on the charge of sexual assault on a girl in Kohalpur.

Aakash Malla, 20, of Kohalpur-11 was held on Wednesday on the charge of raping the girl after her family reported the incident to the police on Monday, Area Police Office chief, Deputy Superintendent Kuldeep Chand, said.
Chand said that another youth, 19-year-old Aankit Giri, had called the girl to Malla’s house on Sunday evening and the two committed the crime.

There was no one except Malla at the house at that time. Giri from Ghorahi-6 of Dang district has been living in Ekatanagar, Kohalpur.

Giri is absconding. Police said they have initiated an investigation into the case.
