German, British nationals to be evacuated from Nepal Wednesday

KATHMANDU: Different countries have been evacuating their citizens from Nepal after the government enforced a lockdown to contain the spread of COVID-19.

Germany and Britain are evacuating their citizens from Nepal on Wednesday through chartered flights.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), Qatar Airways and Titan Airways have been permitted to conduct evacuation flights tomorrow.

CAAN Spokesperson Raj Kumar Chhetri said that an aircraft of Qatar Airways will land at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) at 11 am and take off at 12 noon with German nationals.

Likewise, an aircraft of Titan Airways will land at 12 noon and take off with British nationals at around 1 pm.
